Summary, Etc. Winter White is a contemporary young adult novel set in rural Maine. Pia and her brother, Max, live with their father on an isolated farm, largely separated from the surrounding community. When her father is injured, Pia begins making deliveries to a nearby town, where she meets a boy named Felix. This experience leads her to question her understanding of her family's history and her father's authority. As Pia becomes more engaged with the outside world, she grows increasingly aware of possible secrets involving her father and his associate, Anthony. The novel explores themes of family relationships, secrecy, identity, first love, and personal independence. The story draws inspiration from William Shakespeare's play The Winter's Tale.
