In a small Kentucky holler in 1913, a young girl named Jewel accompanies her grandparents to Moonlight School, a night school where adults of all ages can gain an education, as she proudly celebrates their accomplishments. Jewel and her grandparents set off through the moonlit hills and hollers for graduation night at their moonlight school, where adults from all walks of life attend to learn.
